Elite Performance Physical Therapy Expands Space, Services
The new space will accommodate Pilates duets and more therapeutic services.
Elite Performance Physical Therapy of Westchester has moved to a larger facility at 175 East Main Street, suite 204, in Mount Kisco. Owner Tina Sferra says the new space will accommodate Pilates duets and more therapeutic services in addition to the Pilates apparatus privates and physical therapy sessions it already offers.
Between its physical therapy specialties, such as Dance & Sports Medicine PT, and its Pilates studio, Elite Performance helps people reengineer their bodies to reach their highest potential, Sferra says. Its rehabilitation model is “one patient, one therapist, one hour.”
As an integrative practice, Elite Performance blends traditional and alternative methods to treat the whole patient, she says. “We use a functional, manual approach to reduce musculoskeletal restrictions, followed by a skilled eye to facilitate neuromuscular re-education. The goal is to distinguish compensatory movement patterns by making deeper connections, first in the core. To treat a local injury, we look globally to the weakest links in the human chain to get to the source of the kinetic chain problems and create effective solutions. It’s a recipe for whole-body success.”
In order to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and wellness, Elite Performance offers Pilates sessions taught by uniquely qualified instructors, she adds. “Our clients receive training by a Pilates instructor who is also a physical therapist. This is a winning combination. Good function creates good form, so you will truly look good and feel good.”
