The Temperance Center Plans New Classes and Workshops
Services include yoga, meditation and special workshops and trainings.
LifeForce Yoga Chakra Balancing Flow & Yoga Nidra class
Spring has sprung at The Temperance Center (TTC), in Eastchester, where founder and owner Merrill Black continues to broaden the array of individual and collective wellness services, including yoga, meditation and special workshops and trainings.
LifeForce Yoga is growing there, with a weekly Saturday morning Mindful Restorative LifeForce Yoga class taught by Reyna Gonzalez, and a monthly Sunday LifeForce Yoga Chakra Balancing Flow and Yoga Nidra class taught by Black. Maria Theresa Quaranta is the latest yoga teacher to join TTC. Starting May 30, she will teach an intermediate-level Powerful Vinyasa Flow class every Thursday from 7:30 to 8:45 p.m.
Sound baths are always popular at TTC, Black says, and so another one is scheduled for May 17, from 7:15 to 9:15 p.m., led by music therapist Gina Kijek. Plans are also being made for upcoming tarot workshops facilitated by Lisa Salvatore, as well as yoga workshops offered by TTC’s seasoned teachers.
“Our bi-monthly Guided Channeling Meditations in the evenings continue to thrive and are a big focus at the center,” Black adds. “There are also lots of new workshops and trainings on the horizon, offering ways to heal and expand one’s own intuition.”
