Free Health and Wellness Expo at Woodlands High School in Hartsdale: Saturday, March 22, 2014

On Saturday, March 22, the Health and Wellness Committee of Greenburgh Central School District (GCSD) hosts an afternoon expo to educate the local community on a range of topics related to health and wellness. The free event takes place from 12 to 3 p.m. at Woodlands High School in Hartsdale, NY, in honor of Health and Wellness Month.

Wellness for Life features demonstrations of yoga, Zumba, African dance, Reiki, meditation and other forms of stress management. Presenters include a pediatrician, chiropractor, hypnotist, breath specialist, family counselor and other healthcare practitioners, and visitors can also interact with vendors from the YWCA, Mrs. Green’s, Hilltop Hanover Farm and The Play Place.

The GCSD Health and Wellness Committee is an advisory group comprised of 20 members including faculty, board members, parents, principals, health professionals, master gardeners and students. The committee encourages total wellness for children preK-12 in the areas of food, nutrition and physical, social and emotional health.
