New to the Hudson Valley food scene, Chef Leslie Woodward is eager to serve Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess County foodies and families. Woodward brings a holistic approach to the kitchen, helping people to discover foods that nourish them and working with the properties of food to combine nutrients that promote wellness.

“I also coax out essential supplements to bolster well-being and creating natural remedies to support and heal the body,” says Woodward. “My unique, 360-degree approach to nutrition and wellness updates the age-old adage that food is the way to a person’s heart. To me, it’s the way to everyone’s optimal health and happiness.”

For more than ten years, Woodward has been developing award-winning cuisine for food-loving patrons and celebrity clients. Now she’s bringing her classically trained culinary expertise to home kitchens, creating daily, monthly and lifetime menus tailored to specific needs. Services include organic, locally sourced, farm-to-table catering for special events and gatherings, private chef services, personalized grocery shopping and home cooking classes that are customized to meet particular nutritional needs. Woodward also provides artisanal milk alternatives, cold-pressed juices and one- to three-day customized, restorative juice cleanses.

“I like to provide specialized preventive and healing care,” says Woodward. “My own personal health journey has empowered me to help others live better and healthier lives. My clients have suffered with a variety of health concerns, from nutritional-deficiencies to diabetes, heart disease, asthma, ADHD, obesity, cancer and other illnesses, many of which can be prevented or improved with the right natural course of wellness and nutrition.” 

Woodward, who graduated with honors from the Orlando Culinary Academy’s Le Cordon Bleu program, began on her culinary journey in 2003 under the James Beard Award-winning chef Roy Yamaguchi. She has gone on to several prominent restaurant stints, including Donatella and Share restaurants. For the past six years, Woodward was the Executive Chef at the President’s House of Columbia University.
