Yoga Teacher Training and Free Community Classes at Quest Yoga Arts: Info session September 19, 2015

2015 Graduating class of Yoga Teachers at Quest Yoga Arts

Beginning October 30, 2015, Quest Yoga Arts in Mt. Kisco, NY, will offer a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified training for aspiring teachers or students who wish to deepen their practice. The program will entail one weekend training a month (Friday evenings, and Saturdays and Sundays 10 a.m.-4 p.m.) for 10 months. Those interested are invited to come by the studio September 19 to attend an 11 a.m. info session, as well as one of the free community classes being held that day.

The program will include yoga asana, meditation, pranayama, yoga history and philosophy, anatomy, physiology, teaching methods, class sequencing and lesson plans, hands-on assists and practice teaching, says Laura Jensen (E-RYT 200), who will lead the training with Quest owner Wendy Hagen (E-RYT 500). “With over 30 years of yoga experience combined, our training will inspire you and train you to teach safe and transformative yoga classes, as well as incorporate the wisdom and practice of yoga into your life,” Jensen says.

Quest’s intimate, supportive environment lends itself to individualized training, she adds. “What makes this program unique is that you’ll be teaching—each other at first—from the very first weekend of the training,” she says, “so that by the time you graduate, you’ll go out into the world ready to create a sound class and teach it.”

Quest Yoga Arts is located at 11-13 E. Main St., 2nd Floor, Mt. Kisco. To register for the training, visit QuestYogaArts.com, call 914.241.9642 or drop by the September 19 info session.
