Computer Fairy Offers Website Design with a Twist: Value Options for Small Businesses

Aliza Freedman

Aliza Freedman, owner and chief technologist of the Computer Fairy, has carved out a professional niche designing websites for small businesses who can’t afford to hire a web master. She also grants a special wish when asked: she will teach clients how to update their own websites.

“In this competitive marketplace, even solo entrepreneurs are discovering they need a Web presence,” she says. “But without the budget to hire a dedicated web master, they have had to forego a professionally designed website. I’ll take the client’s concepts and requirements and turn them into a dynamic web presence, all on a budget to accommodate their needs.”

Freedman also offers the value-added option of one-on-one sessions so clients can maintain their own websites. “Some of my clients have shared with me that the ability to tweak and update their site moving forward allows them to save money they would have had to spend on graphic designers and webmasters,” she says. “It also gives them the freedom to make changes whenever they need to.”

The Computer Fairy continues to offer its traditional services of cleaning up and speeding up home computers, updating virus protection, installing wireless printers and new computers on a Wi-Fi network and providing one-on-one help with basic computer skills. “I particularly enjoy working with older people who want to stay connected to friends and family on social media and Facetime, and stay up to date on world news and current events through the Internet,” she says. “I try to make the process painless and fun.”
