Ayurveda and Yoga Study Group Begins This Month: Learn how to use the principles and practices of Ayurveda and yoga to maximize health.

Deirdre Breen

Beginning in February, Deirdre Breen, an ISHTA (Integrated Science of Hatha Tantra and Ayurveda) master yoga teacher and Dukecertified integrative health coach, is offering a six-session Ayurveda and Yoga Study Group that will be held Sundays at Quest Yoga Arts in Mount Kisco and Thursdays at Dr. Kaushik’s Ayurvedic and Naturopathic Clinic in Cross River. The curriculum is designed to enhance participants’ understanding of how to use the principles and practices of Ayurveda and yoga to maximize health.

“We each only have so much time to take care of ourselves,” Breen says. “This course ensures that participants’ time for self-care is as effective and efficient as possible. Ayurveda and yoga, known as the inseparable twins, inform and reflect an individual’s state of health. This course teaches everyone, regardless of their experience, how this ancient wisdom, applied daily, can prevent illness, optimize performance and with time heal chronic conditions.”

All participants will receive a consultation with Dr. Kaushik, an Ayurvedic and naturopathic physician, who will customize their learning according to their personal health and wellness goals. The study group at Quest Yoga Arts will meet from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on February 12, March 5, April 2 and 23, and May 7 and 21.

The study group at Dr. Kaushik’s Clinic will meet from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on February 9 and 23, March 9 and 23, and April 6 and 20. Introductory tuition special is $150.
