Jin Shin Do Bodymind Acupressure Classes Offered in Katonah: A great way to enhance a practice, explore personal growth, experience an easy-to-use form of self-care, and acquire hands-on LMT continuing education credits.

Gail Kellstrom

Licensed massage therapist Gail Kellstrom, who teaches Jin Shin Do Bodymind Acupressure for LMT continuing education credits, will offer a 40-CE-hour Basic class July 29 and 30 and August 5, 12 and 13. She will also offer a 7-CE-hour Acupressure Facial class July 9, and a 7-CE-hour Fundamentals of Self Acupressure class in the fall.

The classes are a great way to enhance a practice, explore personal growth, experience an easy-to-use form of self-care, and acquire hands-on LMT continuing education credits through an NCBTMB-approved provider, Kellstrom says.

Jin Shin Do Acupressure synthesizes ancient and modern techniques to balance the “natural” flow of energies in the body, mind and spirit, she says.

“The way of the compassionate spirit is the guiding energy behind this complete system of acupressure,” she says. “Acupressure is thousands of years old, having been used in Asian cultures for millennia, and continues to be used to this day. It can be used at many levels, ranging from simple self-application, promoting what the Chinese so graphically described as ‘glowing health,’ to advanced and highly technical therapeutic application. Plus there’s another bonus: It’s enjoyable and it feels good.”

Kellstrom, who has been in practice for more than 32 years, offers these classes in Katonah throughout the year. The Basic class is $595, and the one-day classes are $150. She offers a discount for early payment.
