Wainwright House Expands Its Menu of Yoga Classes, Trainings: A beautiful and comfortable space and in an ideal location convenient to both New York City and New Haven, CT.

Wainwright House Yoga Teachers Academy will offer a new 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher Training beginning October 6-8, with monthly sessions concluding May 18-20. The training will be led by Paula Heitzner, Patty Holmes and Susan Wright, who have more than 100 years’ combined teaching experience. Additional health and wellness trainings will begin in late fall.

Wainwright House YTA offers a variety of yoga classes and workshops, including those inspired by Jivamukti, Sivananda and Forrest Yoga; Chair; Yin; and Prenatal. It also hosts meditation workshops and tai chi classes. A complete calendar of classes runs Monday through Saturday. Most workshops are held on weekends.

Among the special programs offered at Wainwright House is a 95-hour Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher Training taught by the faculty of Yoga Mountain. The program includes four weekend modules, plus a fifth module of integrative work. These modules can be taken independently or in full for Young Mountain Yoga Teacher Certification, Anatomy Trains with Laurice Nemetz will hold a weekend workshop at Wainwright House in late fall.

Wainwright House, a nonprofit, is the nation’s oldest holistic center. Located at 260 Stuyvesant Avenue in Rye, it sits on five organic acres overlooking Rye Harbor.
