Genetics refers to the study of genes and the way that certain traits or conditions are passed down from one generation to another. Genomics describes the study of all of a person's genes (the genome). Topics will include: The latest research on genetics and genomics for ovarian cancer; How does your genetics affect treatment?; The importance and role of genomics as it pertains to treatment.; PARP Inhibitors; The importance of genetics for family members; Question and answer period. SPEAKER: Melissa Frey, M.D. Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the division of gynecologic oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Frey specializes in all aspects of gynecologic oncology.
