10th annual Riverkeeper Sweep is May 1

Riverkeeper Seeks Volunteers for Annual ‘Sweep’ of Hudson Shoreline

We welcome you to participate in the 10th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep, our annual day of service for the Hudson River and its tributaries by joining a shoreline cleanup or tree planting project at a location near you. Over the last nine years, Riverkeeper volunteers have completed 804 projects along hundreds of miles of shoreline during our annual day of service for the Hudson, where volunteers have removed 275 tons of debris, and planted or maintained 4,490 trees or native grasses.

As we look toward our 10th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep this spring, we hope to reach new communities and new volunteers, and restore additional stretches of shoreline. Is there a location in your community in need of cleanup, removal of invasive plants, or another type of restoration project? Check out the 8th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep locations, and if the location you have in mind is not on our 2019 map, suggest it using our Sweep 2021 Prospective Community Cleanup Locations Survey.
