Guided instruction and a curated playlist combined with your body’s own organic movements lead the way in this free-form somatic process. Come as you are and dance your way Home. No dance experience necessary. All bodies 18 and up are welcome!

About Lucia

Lucia Rich (She/Her) is a SomaSource Practitioner, Yoga/Wellness Instructor and Collaborative Theater Artist devoted to the practice of embodiment through her personal practice, teaching and performing for over 20 years. A life-long lover of movement, Lucia has trained professionally in classical, contemporary, improvisational and 5Rhythms Dance. She has studied somatic movement and 5Rhythms for over a decade with Dr. Melissa Michaels (founder of SomaSource) and completed her SomaSource LifeCyle Practitioner training in 2022. Since then Lucia has been leading Dancing Home here in Ossining and throughout Westchester. She is passionate about creating sacred spaces and opportunities for mindful movement exploration. An early interest in experimental dance, theater and beyond led Lucia to pursue an MFA in Lecoq-based Physical Theater from London International School of Performing Arts in 2005. Since then she has performed in venues worldwide, including NYC, London, Edinburgh, Canada, Bulgaria, Turkey, France and Germany. She has taught in many creative settings such as The New School, Hunter College, Manhattan School of Music, Professional Performing Arts School and 3 Elements Yoga Studio in NYC, Sacred Spirit Yoga and Healing Arts Center in Dobbs Ferry, Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School in Steamboat Springs CO, The Actor’s Academy in Denver, CO and the University of Connecticut. Grounding ever more into her creative flow, Lucia strives to surrender to the beat of her own heart in her dance, home, and professional life. She is the founder of Embodied Arts & Wellness, est. 2023, which offers unique embodiment opportunities for all ages through the Sacred and Expressive Arts.
