Zen Garden Food Detox Challenge Starts in April: “I know in a week I will feel much better, lighter and will have more energy."

This spring will be busy at Zen Garden Health Coaching & Yoga, which hosts its quarterly Raw Plant Food Detox Challenge in April, a special kids’ yoga series and a handstand workshop in March, and the launch of a new program for women.

Owner Edit Babboni says she always looks forward to detox week, which starts on April 3 this spring. “I know in a week I will feel much better, lighter and will have more energy,” she says. The challenge includes three gentle yoga classes with meditation, a raw food e-booklet with the recipes for the week, and a Facebook support group. All participants will have access to Babboni, a certified health coach, in person after each class, or via the Facebook group.

In the second part of March, the studio starts its six-class series Pretzel Yoga for Children. “This is a fun way to let children get acquainted with and love yoga,” Babboni says. The fee is $150.

For yogis who would like to deepen their practice and master handstands, Zen Garden is hosting a handstand workshop March 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. with its new yoga teacher, Monika Acton. The fee is $30.

New Year New Life New You is a three-month program for women who feel they need to change something in their lives but are not sure where to start. The program is designed to help with weight loss and reduce symptoms of chronic disease, Babboni says.
