Omega Has a Yoga Retreat for Every Body

The Omega Institute—a nonprofit education and retreat center devoted to well-being—was rated the number one yoga retreat in the U.S. by TimeOut magazine.

Nestled in the breathtaking Hudson Valley hills, this holistic haven attracts thousands of guests from May through October to its Rhinebeck campus for a wide variety of multiday yoga workshops and retreats. Folks can opt for a rigorous or restorative yoga workshop or simply book a free-form retreat, which includes daily yoga, tai chi, movement and meditation classes. Guests also have plenty of time for strolling the nature trails, kayaking, partaking in spa treatments and dining on nutritious meals.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 8

Autumn Yoga Reset (Sept. 8-10): Connect with Your True Nature. Practice a combination of gentle yoga poses, relaxing yoga nidra and metta meditations with restorative yoga teacher Jillian Pransky.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 17

Yin Yoga Teacher Training Module 1 (Sept. 17-22): Taoism, Anatomy & the Somatic Meditation of Stillness. Embrace the principles of yin yoga and learn to incorporate yin postures into any yoga teaching or practice with Biff Mithoefer and Eric Archer.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 8

Yoga for Breast Cancer Healing (Oct. 8-13): Amplify your self-care and learn how to heal beyond the breast cancer diagnosis through movement and meditation with Elyce Neuhauser, creator of Yoga for Breast Cancer Healing.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 13

The Full Scope of Yoga (Oct. 13-15): A Journey Into Asana, Meditation & Pranayama. Spend a weekend exploring asana, meditation and pranayama with Colleen Saidman and Rodney Yee.
