Elizabeth Pasquale, owner of Well on the Way, in White Plains and Ossining, recently completed her certification in Neuro-Hypnotic Repatterning (NHR), designed to achieve psychotherapeutic goals quickly by saturating the brain with “feel-good” chemicals. She trained under Richard Bandler, who developed NHR as a modern variation of NeuroLinguistic Programming, which he developed along with John Grinder in the 1970s.

“I took Richard Bandler’s NeuroLinguistic Programming certification training years ago,” Pasquale says. “Back in the ’70s, NLP was a new approach to communication, personal development and psychotherapy. It created a motivation strategy that worked and got results quickly, rather than expecting therapy to go on for years with little improvement.”  

She says Bandler created NHR as a shortcut to NLP, using quicker but equally effective strategies. “NHR asks how much pleasure can you stand? Can you saturate yourself with neural transmitters, those chemicals that make us feel wonderful?”

This new certification adds to Pasquale’s diverse skill set, which includes lymph drainage therapy, electromagnetic field therapy and CranioSacral therapy, as well as NLP. “I already blend so many techniques into a session,” she says. “Now I have another valuable technique to help people reach their goal of health, vibrancy and happiness even faster.”
