Lisa Canning is a dancer and health and wellness professional dedicated to helping people become their best self through movement. She currently teaches a variety of dance and fitness classes at health clubs, in corporate wellness programs and private studios in and around NYC.
Integrating dance and fitness, Lisa's classes use a variety of world music styles and draw heavily upon Afro-Latin dance forms to create a challenging yet accessible experience for students of all levels.
Lisa is always seeking new ways to share her love of fitness. She plans to one day open a studio that inspires healthy living through dance, pilates, yoga and personal training.
Originally from the Bay Area, Lisa holds a B.A. in Dance Ethnology from San Francisco State University. Additionally, Lisa is an AFAA Certified Group Exercise Instructor and NASM Certified Personal Trainer.
