Russ Davis of Inspirationwave Music in White Plains is enrolling new students for the current semester, which runs now through June. A big proponent of the healthy benefits of making music, Davis offers lessons in piano, guitar, voice, bass, drums, keyboards, songwriting, and reading music. “A healthy lifestyle includes time for hobbies and passions, like singing or playing an instrument,” he says. “Taking time for creativity and self-expression gives a feeling of joy that stays with you all through the week.”
Davis, who also produces original artists and coaches performers, bands, and ensembles, says he welcomes students of all ages and makes house calls. “My adult students love making this time for themselves in the midst of their hectic workweek,” he notes. “It can also be a family affair, where I’m giving lessons to both kids and parents and filling their home with music.” Davis says that his students’ favorite songs become the basis for learning musical techniques and skills. “My students stay motivated because we play the music they love,” he adds.
