Recharge Retreats has coordinated restorative retreats, self-development intensives and yoga certification courses in exotic locations from Bali to Mexico. Now the personal development organization is bringing its unique offerings home to the Hudson Valley area.
Recharge provides the opportunity for individuals to participate in events that enhance their overall well-being, recharge their lives and promote peace of mind. The retreats are held at carefully selected venues that facilitate relaxation, reflection, healing and connection with others, with activities including meditation, yoga, hiking, eco-adventure, integrative health services, guided self-development and lots of de-stressing. Until now, Recharge has offered only exotic retreats, such as its upcoming personal development intensive and 200-hour yoga teacher training in Bali. But Recharge’s founders, husband-and-wife team Liz Carey and Chris Sabido, say they decided to offer locally based programs after repeated requests from friends and clients who wanted a convenient way to relax and unwind close to home.
Recharge’s first local program is May 11-13 at the Buttermilk Falls Inn & Spa, an hour from Westchester County. The retreat will include 10 hours of personalized yoga, fun and powerful self-development exercises led by Carey and Sabido, and consultations with Dr. Mara Tabares, DC, a chiropractor and intuitive body worker. The yoga will be led by Basil Jones, a popular area yoga teacher who is also an assistant to world-renowned yoga teacher Seane Corn.
