Support Connection Honors Dana Boulanger as Humanitarian of the Year

Dana Boulanger honored as Humanitarian of the Year

Support Connection, which offers help and hope to people with breast and ovarian cancer, will host its 15th Anniversary Celebration Saturday, April 14, at Colonial Terrace at 119 Oregon Road in Cortlandt Manor, NY. The evening will include cocktails, dinner, dancing and a silent auction, the presentation of its 2012 Spirit Awards, and a special recognition of its “unsung heroes,” including Natural Awakenings publisher Dana Boulanger.

The Spirit Awards are given each year to honor those who contribute to Support Connection’s mission by providing inspiration, time, talent and other resources. This year, in celebration of its 15 years of service, the nonprofit will also recognize 15 individuals who have helped Support Connection grow throughout the years. Among them is Boulanger, its “Humanitarian of the Year,” who will be honored for her longtime support of the organization’s programs. Boulanger, who regularly sends those in need to Support Connection’s door, says she loves connecting the many practitioners from the Natural Awakenings healing community who wish to donate services or work with those in need.

To join the celebration and pay tribute to this year’s honorees and “unsung heroes,” purchase tickets by contacting Michelle DeIeso at 914.962.6402, or [email protected]. Tickets are $95 per person or $850 for a table of 10. All proceeds benefit Support Connection’s free breast and ovarian cancer support services.

Support Connection is located at 40 Triangle Center, Ste. 100, Yorktown Heights, NY, but serves people throughout the country through its toll-free hotline and website. To learn more, call 914.962.6402 or 800.532.4290, or visit SupportConnection.org.
