WOOFSTOCK Comes to Sycamore Park on June 10, 2012: Rain or shine event for families and their four-legged best buddies.

Due to popular demand, Sycamore Park will be going to the dogs for WOOFSTOCK 2012 on Sunday, June 10, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This rain or shine event for families and their four-legged best buddies is hosted by the Friends of Sycamore Dog Park, Inc., a non-profit organization for people who love their dogs and their community.      

The park-wide event includes a Grateful Dog Walkway, demonstrations by disc and fly ball dogs, local vendors, animal rescue groups with adoptable dogs, dog micro-chipping, a Doggy Chill Zone and Peace Dog CafĂ©, tie dyeing stands, music, food, children’s entertainment, photo booths and more. Those without dogs will also be welcomed that the family-friendly event. Admission is $1 per person.   

The Friends of Sycamore Dog Park works cooperatively with the Carmel Parks and Recreation Department to manage the dog park and educate community members about appropriate dog park etiquette and responsible dog ownership.  The group also provides assistance to local rescue groups and dog-related businesses. Funds raised at WOOFSTOCK will assist these rescue groups and make improvements to the park.
