The Daisy Hill Farm stand in Bedford Corners aims to meet the needs of area locavores and healthy eaters. Open Thursdays through Sundays, the farm stand offers organically grown vegetables, herbs and flowers, along with baked goods, free range chicken eggs, goat dairy products, organic meats and grass fed beef.   

Owner Gwenn Brant has expanded the gardens this year to be able to grow more veggies on site, including lots of tomatoes such as as Italian Ice which is bigger than a cherry and very sweet. She also grows Swiss chard, kale, kohlrabi, several varieties of lettuce, onions, zucchini, beets and cilantro. Any produce not grown on site is brought in from nearby farms, such as corn, peaches, plums and nectarines. In addition to produce, Daisy Hill Farm Stand stocks thier own homemade pies and cookies, organic bread from Bread Alone and gluten-free treats from 3 Dogs Bakery.   

Farm stand hours are Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Kids who visit the stand can feed the Daisy Hill’s sheep, miniature pigs, ducks, rabbits and chickens. Pumpkins, gourds and cider will be on hand this fall, and eggs and other packaged or preserved items can be privately ordered during the winter.
