New Location, New Perspective for TheYogaScape in Carmel, NY: The YogaScape offers daily classes for all levels and physical abilities, along with special workshops and a teacher training program.

YogaScape Director Pearce-Hayden greets Catherine Obi at 9-Year Celebration

This summer TheYogaScape began its 10th year with a kirtan led by Satya Franche and friends. Now this yoga studio with a focus on community is celebrating a new location in Carmel, where visitors can try their first yoga class for free.

“I’ve always held the perspective that anything is possible through community,” says founder Amy Pearce-Hayden. “In a time where much of our social network is experienced through digital media, the authenticity of relationship can be difficult to maintain. When we come together we enrich our lives by finding the support and inspiration that arises through community.”

The YogaScape offers daily classes for all levels and physical abilities, along with special workshops and a teacher training program. “There’s a consistency felt throughout the instruction of the classes, yet the individuality of each teacher remains,” says Pearce-Hayden. “For most of our instructors, teaching a yoga class is secondary to their aim of living their yoga. This sincerity of practice imparts a richness and authenticity to the students, who leave feeling inspired, stronger, and healthier.” In 2011 Pearce-Hayden was named “Female Entrepreneur of the Year” by the Professional Women of Putman Association.

TheYogaScape is located at 64 Gleneida Ave. in Carmel, NY. For more info, class schedules and a monthly newsletter visit TheYogaScape.com or call 845.225.YOGA(9642).
