The Sanctuary in Carmel has started a new chapter in a new location, just down the street from the previous one. Owner Gretchen Smith Thermer says that the Sanctuary is still focused on meeting the spiritual needs of the broader community.    

“This new location has given us an opportunity to fine tune the mission of the Sanctuary,” she says. “Our goal has always been to be a safe and nurturing environment for spiritual growth.”  

The Sanctuary maintains an inventory of sterling silver jewelry and the basic tools for all spiritual paths, including Buddhist, Hindu, Shamanic, Wiccan, Pagan and Christianity. Incense, crystals, candles, oils, books, CDs and metaphysical tools line the Sanctuary’s shelves. 

 Private sessions are offered by appointment with Thermer, a medium and intuitive, as well as with other readers and psychics. Classes in Kabbalah and Dragon Magik, and Reiki and Mystery School trainings are also available. Healing sessions for groups and individuals are offered in such modalities as Reiki, stone healings, Energetic Cord Cuttings, chakra balancing and Deeksha. The Sanctuary is open every day but Wednesday.
