Peekskill Acupuncturist Margaret Steele Combines Classical Chinese Acupuncture and Aromatherapy: Community auricular acupuncture offered at Energy Movement Center in Peekskill

Margaret Steele

Peekskill acupuncturist Margaret Steele uses ancient techniques to help modern people achieve better health. Steele practices Classical Acupuncture, which requires two additional years of study and covers dozens of energetic meridians to address a wide range of disorders.

“With its highly targeted treatment protocols, Classical Acupuncture represents a consciousness shift towards understanding the true scope of Chinese Medicine,” says Steele. “In the old days, most people didn’t live long enough to develop such chronic conditions as arthritis and heart disease. Today many illnesses are related to our modern lifestyle, yet Chinese medicine is marvelously adaptive to these issues.”

Aromatherapy is another major component of Steele’s practice, involving the application of organic, custom-blended essential oils to carefully selected acupuncture points. “This can substitute for needles with sensitive patients and children,” says Steele. “While essential oils are unregulated in the United States, they are powerful chemicals and some form the basis for prescription drugs.”

Steele also offers community auricular acupuncture at Energy Movement Center in Peekskill on Tuesday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. Using the ear as a hologram for the entire body, she inserts a few tiny needles into the outer ear to stimulate points associated with pain, insomnia, stress, willpower and well-being.
