Amethyst Integrative Massage Therapy, PLLC, has opened its doors in White Plains. Owner and licensed massage therapist Alyse Nelson says her goal was to create a healing space where clients would feel at home and cared for in a serene, professional setting.

“We believe in using an integrative approach to wellness, involving multiple bodywork, massage, and energy healing techniques,” says Nelson. “Each treatment is custom designed for clients at the beginning of every appointment.”  

Nelson says that she named her center after the purple amethyst stone, which is said to have powerful healing properties. “The word integrative relates to the multidisciplinary, holistic approach to medicine that combines conventional treatments with alternative therapies,” she says. “Whether people are coming in to treat a specific issue, obtain a greater sense of relaxation or enhance their own healing journey, Amethyst Integrative can meet all of those needs.” 

Nelson, a lifelong resident of Westchester County, adds that she strongly believes in maintaining a local community connection and giving back to the community.
