Yoga Classes With a View at Boscobel: Outdoor yoga classes begin 2013 season

Ellen Forman leads yoga at Boscobel

The beauty and inspiring views at Boscobel House and Gardens provide the inspiring setting for Yoga with a View, which begins Monday, June 3. The weekly classes, taught by certified instructor Ellen Forman, are designed to meet the needs of all levels of practitioners.

“As a teacher, I emphasize the inward journey and the profound healing effects of yoga on the mind, body and spirit,” says Forman. “Yoga’s numerous benefits include improved flexibility, endurance and strength, and this class is a great way to start the week calm and refreshed.”

Yoga at Boscobel takes place Monday evenings from 6 to 7:15 p.m. through September 9. The walk-in rate is $17, and multi-class discounts are available. Friends of Boscobel members receive a 10% discount. Students are encouraged to bring their own mats and water to this outdoor class. “Spectacular views entice the senses as you stretch and pose overlooking the Hudson River from the main lawn or west meadow, truly two of the most picturesque and serene settings in the Hudson Valley,” says Forman.

Boscobel House and Gardens is located at 1601 Route 9D in Garrison, NY, one mile south of Cold Spring. For more information, visit Boscobel.org or call 845.265.3638.
