Yoga and Juice for Detoxing at Quest Yoga Arts

Quest Yoga Arts and Little Spice Bazaar in Mount Kisco, NY, are teaming up this spring to offer a three-day juice cleanse and daily yoga classes designed to help the body with detoxification. The program begins in March and comes at a time of year when nature is renewing itself and cleaning out the stagnant energy from winter.

Organizers of the program say that detoxifying the body and mind is a good way to shift a yoga and meditation practice at this time of year, removing the preservatives, pesticides, stimulants and heavy metals that the body absorbs through food, water and air. “The yoga and juice cleanse program is designed to help the body’s digestive, endocrine, and circulatory systems in natural detoxification processes that are often compromised by too much sugar, caffeine, and processed foods in people’s diets,” says Laura Jensen, owner of Quest Yoga Arts. “Combined with little to no exercise and stress, these factors can slow the body’s natural detoxification to a sluggish pace, resulting in a buildup of toxins that can leave people fatigued, suffering from poor digestion and vulnerable to disease.”

Participants in the program can boost their innate detoxification functions by practicing cleansing yoga sequences and trying a juice cleanse for three to five days. Contact Jensen at 914.241.9642 or [email protected], or come to Little Spice Bazaar, to inquire about the cleanse program and classes, starting March 1.
