Artists Alex and Allyson Grey present a Body and Soul Drawing Meditation Weekend from Friday, May 9 through Sunday, May 11 at Chapel of Sacred Mirrors (CoSM). The program combines universal creativity and art as spiritual practice.   

The weekend includes instruction on painting and drawing techniques and elements of design, a slide talk on the portrayal of the subtle energetic light body through art history, instruction on proportions, features and expressions of the head and body, vision practices for glimpsing the interplay of body and soul, drawings of the subtle chakra centers and drawings that capture subtle body interactions.      

All levels of ability are welcome and a materials list will be provided to everyone who registers. The fee for the weekend workshop is $250, which includes admission to a Saturday sound healing with Zacciah Blackburn entitled “Awakening Our Luminous Being.” Meals are also included, from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch. The mission of CoSM is to build an enduring sanctuary of visionary art to inspire and evolve the creative spirit. CoSM members receive a 10 percent discount on this program.
