Annual Green Symposium in Dutchess Helps Businesses Achieve Sustainability: Tuesday, April 29, 2014, in Millbrook, NY

The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce presents the fourth annual Green Symposium on Tuesday, April 29, from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Cornell Cooperative Extension in Millbrook, NY. The event, which is organized by the chamber’s Living Green Committee, provides the local business community with steps for achieving sustainability.

New to this year’s program is an Agriculture Showcase in which farming and agriculture members of the chamber will display their local products, food samples and services. The Green Symposium also includes expert presenters, exhibitors, networking and Q&A forums. The event is free and open to all and includes a continental breakfast.

Ajax Greene, founder of Re>Think Local and Co-Founder of On Belay Business Advisors, will deliver the keynote address on building “place-based” organizations and a business community that’s committed to being conscious of people, prosperity and the planet. Greene will talk about synergistic combinations of marketing and branding, people management, finance, operations and a strategic commitment to social responsibility. To register for the Green Symposium, visit DCRCOC.org or call 845.454.1700, ext.1000.

Cornell Cooperative Extension is located at 2715 Rt. 44 in Millbrook, NY.
