Denise Cachoian, a visual arts teacher in Yonkers, has a deep appreciation of aesthetics that extends not just to the world around her, but also to what she sees in the mirror. So when she looked in the mirror and didn’t like what she saw, she decided to do something about it.
She researched the latest techniques for reducing fat and minimizing cellulite, like liposuction and mesotherapy, but those techniques are invasive, and she wanted something safe and natural. Cryoliposis did not appeal to her, either. Then she found Exilis, a relatively new technology that uses radio frequency waves to heat up the fat layer beneath the skin, essentially melting and releasing the fat from specific areas for targeted fat reduction. Intrigued, she found a place out of state to give it a try. She was so pleased with the results that she opened up her own business, Simply Contours, to provide the service in the Westchester area.
Describe your personal experience with this technology.
I’d always been self-conscious about my thighs, and when they went from flabby to smooth and lean, I was so happy with the results that I actually wanted to put my bathing suit on! I finally felt confident about my appearance, and I wanted other people to have that experience, too. That’s when I decided to open Simply Contours.
Tell us about the technology.
I use Exilis technology manufactured by BTL Aesthetics. It’s a sophisticated thermal energy system that uses radio frequency to target fat and gently melt it away. The melted fat then passes through the body and is eliminated during urination and bowel movements. It’s pretty simple. This smart technology also smooths the epidermis layer to reduce wrinkles and tighten skin. This is important, since after the fat is melted and the bulk is lost, one could be left with sagging skin.
The Exilis radio frequency device has the ability to safely deliver controlled thermal energy with no discomfort and no downtime. Most patients require four to six sessions for best results. During the session, they’ll feel a comfortably warm sensation. No topical anesthesia is needed.
It rebuilds collagen too, right?
Yes. When used on the face, the radio frequency also acts as an anti-aging method, tightening skin and creating new collagen. It is FDA approved for lifting and tightening, and so it’s ideal as a safe, gentle, noninvasive type of facelift. Women and men are thrilled with the results.
How affordable is it?
Although there was a large start-up cost to buy the technology and set up my clinic, I offer the treatments at less than half of what others charge. And you don’t have to travel into NYC or go out of state to have it done. You’ll get the best deal around for this technology at Simply Contours.
Is the treatment safe for everyone?
There are a few people for whom it is not advised, like pregnant women and people with metal or cochlear implants (because the implants will heat up). We have a medical doctor, Dr. Angelo Baccellieri, who goes over our intake forms to make sure the Exilis treatment is appropriate for each person.
How can people learn more?
Anyone interested can just call me at 914.337.0443 for a free consultation. I can go over any questions they may have and let them know if Exilis is right for them. There’s also more information on our website, SimplyContours.com.
