Clearwater Festival June 21 and 22, 2014, Honors Pete and Toshi Seeger

The Great Hudson River Revival (Clearwater Festival) will honor its founders this year, the late Pete and Toshi Seeger. The country’s oldest and largest music and environmental festival takes place June 21 and 22 2014, along the banks of the Hudson River at Croton Point Park in Croton-On-Hudson, NY.

The 2014 festival headliners include Lucinda Williams, Norah Jones and her new project Puss n Boots (with Sasha Dobson and Catherine Popper), Rufus Wainwright, The Mavericks, Richard Thompson, Josh Ritter, Jake Shimabukuro, Martin Sexton and many others.

Founded 49 years ago by the Seegers, this year’s event will be a celebration of the couple and their legacy in the first Clearwater Festival to take place since their recent passing.

Buckwheat Zydeco, soul diva Bettye LaVette, indie jazz/soul band, Lake Street Dive and Congolese Salsa great Ricardo Lemvo will also take the stage, along with children’s music artist Laurie Berkner.

The Clearwater Festival is a destination for all ages, offering family-oriented programming, storytelling, activities and vendors for kids, special performances on the Family Stage, juggling and roving artists, a Children’s Area and river beach combing. Other offerings include the Handcrafters’ Village, The Green Living Expo and an expanded Artisanal Food and Farm Market. Tickets start at $70 and are available at ClearwaterFestival.org, as is the complete list of performers and activities. Kids 12 and under are admitted for free.

Croton Point Park is located at 1A Croton Point Ave., Croton-On-Hudson, NY.
