Mina Park, L.Ac., M.S.Ac., has joined the staff at Eastern Wellness Acupuncture in Scarsdale, NY. Park, who graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, specializes in Korean 4 Needle Technique to help with issues such as pain management, arthritis, smoking cessation, stress management, facial acupuncture, weight loss, post-surgical rehabilitation, gynecological disorders and gastrointestinal diseases.

“My extensive clinical shifts at Pacific College helped me to gain diverse patient experience,” says Park. “I also received separate training in the Korean 4 Needle Technique, which is less invasive yet very strong and stimulates the channels of the body to regulate to a more normal, healthy state.”

Park says that acupuncture can help with such gynecological issues such as amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, polycystic ovarian disease and endometriosis. In men it can be used to treat erectile dysfunction, low libido and other symptoms that men may experience with stress or aging. “We have a different approach when diagnosing a patient,” she says. “We use the traditional Chinese method to come up with an individual treatment plan and help the body return to a healthy state by moving the energy and blood that is stuck, nourishing whatever is weak and sedating whatever is overpowering.”
