Every second Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., the Dreaming Goddess hosts “Tea and Stones,” a free, hour-long lecture on a specific mineral, including its healing qualities, its history and the folklore surrounding it, and ways to incorporate it in daily life. The next lecture, on August 12, will explore the many properties of tourmaline.

Rhianna Mirabello, owner of the Dreaming Goddess, says the lectures are both educational and fun. “We are proud to provide our community with the opportunity to meet and learn about some of the magical specimens of the mineral kingdom,” she says. “Each month we explore a different stone from our vast collection. The evening always includes a meditation, where participants hold a stone to connect to its essence and to listen to its message for them personally.”

To aid the shop’s effort to be eco-friendly, participants are encouraged to bring their own tea mug, and a camp chair if they have one. “Seating is limited, so if you bring a chair, you are guaranteed a seat,” Mirabello says. “Feel free to bring your own stones to work with, and we will have lots to share.” The shop is open before and after the gathering.
