W@tercooler to Open New Yonkers Location

In response to growing demand and the success of its first space in Tarrytown, W@tercooler will bring its shared workspace model to the waterfront district in downtown Yonkers this fall. W@tercooler is a social enterprise founded to promote sustainability, a thriving economy and cultural offerings in the places it locates, says co-owner Jenifer Ross. “We’re hoping to play a significant role in the current revitalization of Yonkers,” she says. “We think this new location will continue to offer flexible, cost-effective work, meeting and event options that foster supportive collaborations and onsite learning.”

The new location will be 7,500 square feet, 1,800 of which will be in an open “coworking” design, Ross says. It will also have two conference rooms, a 35-person classroom space, a full kitchen and lounge, a gallery space and a roof deck with Hudson River views.

“W@tercooler is inviting entrepreneurs, small businesses and freelancers to join us and be a part of this exciting change,” she says. W@tercooler has launched a crowdfunding through which it is pre-selling some of its Work, Learn, and Gather memberships and plans. Plans range from $35 for one desk/day up to full-time private offices. Nonmembers can rent space on an a la carte basis. W@tercooler has also created a Pay it Forward option allowing people to support the cause but donate the perks.

W@tercooler is located at 21 N. Broadway, Tarrytown, NY (913.332.1400) and will open soon at 28 Wells Ave., Building #3, 6th floor, Yonkers, NY. For more info, visit WatercoolerHub.com.
