Yoga Classes to Breathe Life and Energy Into Mind, Body and Spirit: Now at The Temperance Center in Eastchester, NY

Diane Graziosa

The Temperance Center in Eastchester, NY, is offering special classes this fall with experienced teachers Diane Graziosa and Jo-Anne Salomone. Graziosa’s Healing Yoga features gentle deep stretching, balance, strengthening, and the skillful use of breath to either energize or calm.

“Diane often assists or teaches self assists to deepen the student’s experience during the stretch,” says Temperance Center founder Merrill Black. “She also flows into her restorative poses that rejuvenate, restore, and renew. This class is floor flow with a ‘twist.’”

Salomone’s Vinyasa Flow/Restorative is a beginner level open class in which students move from pose to pose, synchronizing breath and movement as they increase self-awareness and inner peace. Salomone ends the class by gently lulling her students into a meditative state with guided relaxation.

Graziosa also offer bodyART at the Temperance Center. The class uses a blend of yoga, Tai Chi, and dance as ying meets yang in each breath and in each of the five phases of bodyART.  Throughout class, Graziosa offers a variety of ways to build strength, alleviate tension, improve flexibility and balance and have fun.

“At The Temperance Center we focus on healing that comes from within,” says Black. “In yoga we use breath, movement and awareness of ourselves, both on and off the mat, to help heal, nurture, and expand.”

The Temperance Center is located at 453 White Plains Rd., Eastchester, NY.  For more information, contact Merrill Black at 914.793.2600 or visit TheTemperanceCenter.com.
