Maggie May’s—a quaint, vibrantly colorful store nestled next to the Goldens Bridge post office—began as a low-fat and nonfat frozen yogurt shop. But in the two years since, the shop has morphed into a popular destination spot serving additional healthy alternatives, including juices, smoothies and crêpes.

Maggie Nader, who along with her family owns and operates the store, says the shop’s all-natural juice bar has been especially popular, as its offerings appeal to “the seasoned juicer” as well as the person just learning how quality juices can fuel the body with vitamins. Customers can choose from a variety of fresh-made juices containing spinach, kale, beets, cucumbers, carrots, apples, pear, lemons or ginger, and Nader also advises customers on juice cleansings. Maggie’s also makes fruit, veggie, and Power Protein smoothies, incorporating fresh produce like apples, strawberries, blueberries, peaches, celery, carrots and spinach. “The combinations are endless,” Nader says.

Maggie’s made-to-order crêpes can be savory (with ingredients like eggs, cheese and spinach), or sweeter (any combination of fresh strawberries, bananas, apples, cinnamon, apple streusel or Nutella, just to name a few options). “Our goal is to give our customers the opportunity to have a healthy choice with personal, friendly family service,” Nader says.
