Deep Arrow Woman to Lead Shamanism Workshops: October 25, November 15 and December 13 in Mount Kisco, NY.
Deep Arrow Woman
Deep Arrow Woman, a shamanic practitioner for more than 25 years, will lead a series of experiential workshops from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. October 25, November 15 and December 13 at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, located at 236 S. Bedford Rd., Rt. 72, Mount Kisco, NY.
Also known as Lorraine Simone, Deep Arrow Woman is the founder of Moonfire Meeting House, a holistic wellness center, and the Women’s Ways Mystery School on Long Island. She has led numerous workshops, seasonal community retreats and celebrations, native-based fire ceremonies and annual trips to sacred sites. Deep Arrow’s teachings are intended to help people live a spiritual life in the modern Western world. Her “Everyday Shamanism” workshops are designed to help participants discover the benefits of shamanism for grounding their lives; the workshops will explore the mysteries of the solar cycles, the sacred directions and the elements. Practitioners of shamanism say it reconnects them to the earth, restores their sense of awe and helps them “re-remember” their true, infinite nature.
The workshops can be attended individually but are intended to build upon one another. Deep Arrow will conduct a sacred fire ceremony at 5 p.m. after each workshop, and she will conduct a public winter solstice celebration and ceremony at the conclusion of the December 13 workshop. The public is invited to attend these post-workshop events. While the ceremonies are free, donations are customary.
