Herbal Tea Baskets Back for Holidays: With Karine Gordineer, master herbalist

Karine Gordineer

Karine Gordineer, master herbalist and founder of Green Girl Herbs & Healing, says she will again be offering organic herbal tea baskets—plus new, themed baskets—this holiday season. “The baskets were such a hit last year that I’ve decided to offer them in time for Thanksgiving, since they make such lovely holiday and hostess gifts,” she says.

The baskets are especially appealing to people seeking healthier alternatives for seasonal gifts, Gordineer says. Her standard tea basket, priced at $26, contains a choice of two organic herbal teas, a cup and a tea ball. Additional products can be added, such as salves and elderberry syrup, for an additional price. Themed baskets include a “Cold-Care Basket,” “Women’s Health Basket” and “Cat Lover’s Basket.”

Gordineer, who has more than 25 years’ experience in herbalism, says she was inspired by her lifetime experience with healing plants to bring her expertise to a wider audience and offer her healing remedies to the public. In the recently published compilation of essays, Empowered Women of Social Media, she briefly tells the story of her path to herbalism and healing. She is one of 44 coauthors who share their stories of triumph and how social media changed their lives.

Green Girl Teas are served at The Freight House Café in Mahopac, NY, and Caffe Macchiato in Newburgh, NY; selected varieties are served at Kathleen’s Tea Room in Peekskill, NY. For more info, contact Gordineer at 845.592.4609 or [email protected]
