Free Acupuncture Workshop November 12 in Peekskill, NY

Margaret Steele

Acupuncturist Margaret Steele will present “Acupuncture 101: A Beginner’s Guide to Chinese Medicine,” the next workshop in her ongoing lecture series on Chinese medicine, November 12, 2014,  from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Steele’s practice, Classical Acupuncture & Aromatherapy, opened in downtown Peekskill, NY, in 2011.

“Classical acupuncture, an ancient and comprehensive collection of acupuncture styles, enables extremely targeted treatments of all types of conditions, including long-term and autoimmune imbalances,” Steele says. The workshop will include an overview of the concepts and energetics of Chinese medicine and will allow plenty of time for questions, she says. Future workshop topics will include “Chinese Medical Aromatherapy,” “Qigong,” “Chinese Dietary Therapy” and “Acupuncture for Smoking Cessation & Weight Loss.” All workshops will take place at Classical Acupuncture & Aromatherapy, 25 North Division Street, Peekskill.

Steele received her master’s degree in acupuncture in 2007 from the Swedish Institute, College of Health Sciences. She enhances her practice with the use of essential oil blends applied to acupuncture points. “For sensitive patients and for children, essential oils can be used instead of needles,” she says, adding that clients are instructed in the use of essential oils for self-care between acupuncture treatments. “All treatments are one-on-one, in a peaceful, spa-like setting, with each patient receiving my full attention for the entire session,” she says.

The workshop is free, but space is limited, so call or text 914.772.4589 to reserve a spot. For more information about this or future workshops, visit AcupuncturePeekskill.com.
