Explore a Career in Massage Therapy at Finger Lakes School

FLSM graduates

The Finger Lakes School of Massage (FLSM) in Mount Kisco, NY, offers another round of massage therapy training classes beginning Monday, January 5, 2015, at 9 a.m. The program runs for seven months and helps students to explore the intuitive and scientific approaches to healing through therapeutic massage and hydrotherapy.

“A career in massage therapy is a great option for nurturing people who feel called to give back to others through the beauty of therapeutic touch,” says Joan Fuller, Campus Director of FLSM Westchester. “In under one year’s time someone can complete their 1000 hours schooling requirement and sit for the licensure exam in therapeutic massage to begin practicing in New York State.”

Fuller says FLSM is welcoming a new education director this year, Tracy Pettit, a graduate of the school. “Tracy is in charge of maintaining the quality of the education students receive by managing the instructor development, curriculum and scheduling,” says Fuller. “After completing the program at FLSM, she held a few positions here, including registrar, a position she still holds.”

FLSM is now registering students in the upcoming full-time program, and federal financial funds and scholarships are available for those who quality. GI bills are accepted, and veterans are encouraged to apply.

The Finger Lakes School of Massage is located at 272 North Bedford Rd., Mount Kisco, NY. For more info, call 914.241.7363 or visit FLSM.com.
