The Sacred Heart of Herbalism Begins in April 2015: with Karine Gordineer of Green Girl Herbs & Healing

Karine Gordineer

Karine Gordineer of Green Girl Herbs & Healing has opened registration for the newly expanded Sacred Heart of Herbalism series, which begins April 25. “There’s so much material covered that I decided to extend the hours and add an extra class to include all the teachings that evolved out of last year’s sessions,” she says.

Gordineer has been practicing herbalism for more than 25 years, bringing to her practice the wisdom and influence of her Native American and Ukrainian lineages, as well as her experience as a certified plant spirit healing practitioner, shamanic practitioner, Native American herbalist and educator. The Sacred Heart of Herbalism curriculum includes the healing properties of medicinal plants, medicine-making techniques, plant identification, plant energetics, an introduction to the Native American medicine wheel, the shamanic journey and sacred dreaming. “Upon completion, attendees will feel confident in their ability to work successfully with medicinal plants, make their own herbal teas and remedies, identify local plants, and garden with herbs, as well as harvest and dry herbs,” Gordineer says.

Each class will meet once a month for four and a half to five hours and is limited to 15 students. The $875 fee includes all materials, and there’s an early-bird registration fee of $800 before April 1.
