Dr. Somesh N. Kaushik, a specialist in chronic disease, anti-aging therapies and weight management, has opened a family wellness clinic in White Plains, NY. “I use a combination of Ayurveda and naturopathy to create a unique treatment plan to regain and maintain the health,” he says. “Supplements, dietary recommendations and a lifestyle plan are suggested based on the patient’s body type or constitution.”

Kaushik has more than 30 years’ experience in various healing modalities. He has an Ayurvedic medical degree; master’s degrees in public health and public administration; and a doctor of naturopathic medicine degree. He taught Ayurvedic medicine and public health and was director of admissions for the College of Naturopathic Medicine at the University of Bridgeport, and worked as an epidemiologist and director of HIV/AIDS sero-surveillance with the Alabama Department of Public Health. He is also a registered yoga teacher. In 2006, Dr. Kaushik co-founded the Institute for Ayurvedic and Naturopathic Therapies in Fairfield, CT, and in 2011 he started offering his services in New York City, at 185 Madison Avenue. “I’ve added the White Plains office because the demand for my services has grown in that area,” he says.

Kaushik incorporates yoga and meditation into his treatment plans, as well as detoxification through supplements and therapies. “I use traditional Ayurveda’s Panchakarma as well as many naturopathic therapies to bring balance in the body to help patients regain and maintain their health,” he says.
