Nueva Alma is beginning its fourth year in a new storefront location on McLean Avenue in Yonkers, NY. The new facility features a calming retail lounge with organic spa products and a large studio room featuring an Iyengar wall. The studio celebrates the new location with two afternoons of free, open-level community classes on Sundays, June 7 and 14 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Special class packages and monthly memberships will also be available at the grand re-opening.

“Nueva Alma is a community focused yoga studio, offering a wide variety of classes such as Yoga Warriors, a class for veterans, first responders and their families, and those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder or combat stress,” says owner Erica Garcia, noting that veterans always receive a 20 percent discount on classes. “I am a 9/11 survivor and I’m PTSD trained, so these populations have a special place in my heart. Also, our first floor location is great for those with physical limitations.”
