Yoga at the Farm—an all-levels outdoor class led by Yoga Alliance-certified instructors Chelsea Teed and Maureen Benedict—has returned to Fishkill Farms with the warm temperatures. The class is offered Saturdays at 10 a.m. and will continue into autumn as weather permits.
“What better way to center your mind and start your weekend than with this truly sublime outdoor class,” Teed says. “There’s simply nothing like breathing in fresh air and letting the sunshine warm your skin as you practice. The gentle sounds and sensations of nature leave you feeling inspired and connected to the earth. You can expand and deepen your practice as you gaze across the orchard and rolling hills, relaxing your mind while strengthening your body.”
All are welcome to participate, from beginners to advanced yoga students, Teed says. “Regardless of fitness level or yoga experience, if you’ve never practiced or you’re an experienced practitioner, you’ll feel both challenged and at ease,” she says. “Please do remember to bring plenty of water and apply sunscreen before class. Mats can be rented, or feel free to spread your toes in the grass and practice without one.” The cost is $16 per class, five classes for $70, or ten classes for $130. Check-in is at the Fishkill Farms store. Classes are cancelled only for rain, and those cancellations will be posted by 9 a.m. at Facebook.com/YogaatthefarmFishkillFarms.
