The YogaScape Hosts Grand Reopening July 12: at 64 Gleneida Ave., Carmel, NY

Heather Reiners, new owner at The YogaScape in Carmel, NY

The YogaScape, a staple in the yoga community since it was founded in 2003 by Amy Pearce-Hayden, will reopen its doors this month under new ownership by local businesswoman and yogi Heather Reiners. A grand reopening party will be held July 12, 2015, and visitors are invited to stop in and meet Reiners and other YogaScape instructors; enjoy free refreshments, networking and entertainment; and register to win a month of unlimited yoga.

“The mission of the YogaScape will remain the same—to provide a community-based space for all persons, regardless of age, background or ability, to gather and have accessible classes and guidance in modalities that support growth, healing and inspiration physically, mentally and spiritually,” Reiners says. “The studio will transition from a co-op model back to being owned and directed by one person with a clear vision for the space.”

Classes will begin July 13, on the YogaScape’s 13th anniversary. Offerings will include daily yoga classes, reiki, private sessions, workshops and community events, Reiners says. The studio will also exhibit works by local artisans and is accepting inquiries from artists to display and sell their work. “A unique feature of the YogaScape is that it has a stage, which will be utilized not only during teacher trainings, but also to showcase musicians and host kirtans,” she says.
