The Hudson Valley Exposition, a mini-world’s fair, is returning to New York State for the first time in 70 years. The historic reintroduction of this event will be held rain or shine August 1, 2015 from noon to 9 p.m. at Riverfront Green Park in Peekskill, NY.

Deb Milone, exposition director and executive director of the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce, says the chamber is bringing back the exposition as part of the organization’s 100^th anniversary and the City of Peekskill’s 75^th anniversary celebrations. “This is the perfect way to tie our past and present to our bright future and showcase what the Hudson Valley has to offer today,” she says. “If you come to the exposition, you will experience things you have’t experienced before. You won’t want to miss this memorable event.”

Milone says the exposition will feature “the best of yesteryear, today and tomorrow in dedicated, vibrantly themed areas,” including showcases for holistic wellness and energy and technology, an artisan marketplace, and Hudson Valley restaurant row. Main-stage entertainers and performers will include the Daisy Jopling Band, the Joni Blondell Band, Tony Leon, Mark McIntyre Band, Ray Blue, Vintage Vinyl and Noodle Noodle. In addition there will be kids’ activities, historical reenactments, trendy businesses, and Hudson Valley food, craft beer and wines.
