Thanksgiving Organic Vegetable Baskets Now Available: At Hilltop Hanover Farm, in Yorktown Heights

Farmers in the farm stand at Hilltop Hanover Farm

Hilltop Hanover Farm, in Yorktown Heights, is currently taking orders for Thanksgiving Organic Vegetable Baskets. Each contains prepackaged farm-grown, seasonal, organic vegetables for four to eight people along with recipes. Baskets will be available for pick up from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., November 24, at the Farm Stand, which will be open, selling vegetables, honey, maple syrup, gift baskets, pies, pasta, Cara-Sel salted caramel and many other delicious items.

“Thanksgiving Vegetable Baskets have become part of the holiday tradition for many families in Westchester and beyond. Celebrating with a table of seasonal, local vegetables harkens back to pilgrim times and brings historic depth to Thanksgiving festivities,” explains Farm Director Lucille Munz.

Individuals interested in Farm Share can become new members for the 2017 season beginning November 1 by purchasing shares. The early commitment allows the farm to plan, plant and grow. Members will share the harvest from June through October, choosing either Tuesday or Thursday as their preferred pick-up day. The Hilltop Farm Share is offered farm-stand style, allowing members to choose which vegetables they want to bring home.

Cost: $50 baskets, $700 2017 Farm Share. Location: 1271 Hanover St. For more information or to place an order, visit HilltopHanoverFarm.org or stop by the office/stand.
