Kacey Morabito Grean
Life’s mission: To remind people that they are magical creatures capable of great things.
Work: Radio host on “Mike & Kacey” at 100.7 WHUD and “The Health & Happiness Show”; Reiki practitioner; author and motivational speaker.
Proudest achievements: Ah, this is the thing—I am not “proud” of anything. Ever. I realized long ago that what comes through me is not mine to claim. Every idea that bears fruit, every ounce of energy that allows me to accomplish a task—it’s a gift. I take credit for none of it. Now, the gaffes? Those are all mine. But I tossed out shame when I gave up pride. Different sides of the same coin.
Expectations for the future: I expect to write more books and share my message far and wide, getting out of my radio studio and in front of more live audiences.
Favorite app: Kindle
Favorite website: SoundCloud
Local causes supported: Support Connection, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Peekskill CHOP, Salvation Army, St. Christopher’s Inn at Graymoor, Franciscan Friars, Bark for Life.
Favorite thing about Natural Awakenings? The calendar! Always full of great ideas!
How you invest in your community: I say yes. I can either volunteer my time or spread the news on the air.
Favorite quote: “When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, ‘I used everything you gave me.’” Erma Bombeck
What you are doing to be the change you want to see in the world: Happiness is my ministry. The intention behind everything I do is “Lift people up!”
