Temperance Center’s Healing Night on December 6, 2015

With all the hustle and bustle of the holidays, it’s important to take time out to reflect and restore. That’s the idea behind the Temperance Center’s second healing night, scheduled for December 6 from 2 to 4:30 p.m., in honor of the winter solstice.

“Since the daylight hours are less now, I thought it would be nice to host one earlier in the day,” says Merrill Black, owner and founder of the Temperance Center and a licensed clinical social worker, Reiki master and hypnotherapist. “Our first healing night for the fall equinox was such a success we decided to have them for each of the solstices and equinoxes for the year.” The healing night will offer yoga, meditation, singing, raffles and holiday-themed surprises.

There is a suggested donation of $20, with half the proceeds going to charity. “Each healing night, a new charity will be chosen,” Black says. “In the fall, the proceeds went to the Leukemia Society and the Alzheimer’s Foundation. This time the money will go to St Jude’s Children Hospital.”

Those interested in participating should contact Black at 914.793.2600 or [email protected], or visit TheTemperanceCenter.com. The Temperance Center is located at 453 White Plains Rd. Ste. 201/203, Eastchester, NY.
