Custom Candle is a family-owned organic candle business that recently opened in Bedford Hills, New York. Owners Marcie Manfredonia and son Anthony Desideri say Custom Candle was born out of their desire to create both beautiful and non-toxic candles. “I needed an eco-friendly, non-toxic and long-lasting candle that had an aroma that would last long after the candle was extinguished,” says Manfredonia. She and her four sons have sensitivities associated with allergies and asthma.

The store and website now offer an extensive variety of all-natural candles, many with designs using recycled bottles. “All our candles are hand-poured and only use all-natural soy in high-quality natural products,” says Manfredonia. In addition to a large selection of candles, Custom Candle has a full selection of Himalayan lamps and bath salts. Their wax art crystal candle kits, for example, contain all the materials needed to make eight wax art candles in glass jars. Wax art crystals are made from wax that has been formed into tiny beads in a variety of colors; they are easier to work with than wax because they do not need to be melted.
